Vice President, Operations
Andy Mueck joined NIB in January 2017 as vice president, operations. In this role, he assists in leading the day-to-day operations of NIB including operations support, rehab and product engineering, products and services development, and the AbilityOne Base Supply Center™ program. He is responsible for aligning operating departments within NIB and building the infrastructure necessary to support the organization’s objectives and business plans.
Mr. Mueck has extensive operations and logistics leadership experience at the strategic, operational and tactical levels in both Department of Defense and corporate environments. From 2009 to 2012, he served as executive officer at the Defense Logistics Agency; from 2012 to 2014 he served as the country program officer for Pakistan, Georgia and Coalition Forces at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. Most recently, he served as country program director for Lebanon and Syria at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. Prior to assuming that position, he worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was chief of staff for the Joint Combatant Command Systems Delivery Group.
Mr. Mueck has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy. He earned a master’s degree in national strategy and resourcing from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. In 2010, he completed Stanford University’s executive program in strategy and organization.
