Andy Mueck, Vice President, Operations

Andy Mueck joined NIB in January 2017 as vice president, operations. In this role, he assists in leading the day-to-day operations of NIB including business development, contracts and pricing, product and productivity engineering, products and services development, and the AbilityOne Base Supply Center® program. He is responsible for aligning operating departments within NIB and building the infrastructure necessary to support the objectives and business plans of NIB and its associated nonprofit agencies.

Mr. Mueck has extensive operations and logistics leadership experience at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels in both Department of Defense and corporate environments. From 2009 to 2012, he served as executive officer at the Defense Logistics Agency; from 2012 to 2014 he served as the country program officer for Pakistan, Georgia, and Coalition Forces at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. After 26 years of active duty service in the Navy, Mr. Mueck retired in 2014. He then served as the director of the national scheduling center at Air Liquide, a French-owned industrial gas provider.

Mr. Mueck has a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington, a master’s degree from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, and in 2010, he completed Stanford University’s Executive Program in Strategy and Organization.
