NIB Textiles Product Manager Donielle Lorelli recently penned a blog article for SEAMS, a proponent of the Made in America movement that deems itself the “association and voice of the U.S. sewn products industry.” The association provides an opportunity each month for members of the millennial generation to share their thoughts on the SEAMS blog.
Lorelli’s article, “Thoughts on Inclusion from a Millennial Weaving Her Way into the Industry,” not only outlines her path to the textiles industry, but rebuts a number of common myths about the capabilities of people who are blind. The article invites SEAMS members to reach out to one of the nearly 100 National Industries for the Blind associated nonprofit agencies to learn more about the high-quality work employees who are blind do right here in the U.S.A.
