Dennis Steiner is president and CEO of NIB associated nonprofit agency VisionCorps in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Since joining the agency in 1983, Steiner has been instrumental in the organization’s success. He is directly responsible for expansion and construction of VisionCorps’ Lancaster facility, the development of facilities in Lebanon, Philadelphia, and Somerset counties, and expansion of its rehabilitation services to include Chester County. In 2017 he and facilitated a merger with NIB associated agency ForSight Vision, expanding services to York and Adams Counties.
Mr. Steiner currently serves on the board of directors of VisionServe Alliance, as treasurer for both the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind and Core Career Inc., and as NIB’s delegate to the World Blind Union. He has previously served as president of the National Association for the Employment of People Who Are Blind and as chairman of the board of directors of UniqueSource, formerly Pennsylvania Industries for the Blind and Handicapped.
Active in his community, Mr. Steiner is a member of the Lancaster Lions and a Leadership Lancaster alumnus. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Steiner holds a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, and a master’s degree in rehabilitation and counseling.
