J. Anthony (Tony) Poleo, Member

Prior to his retirement in 2017, J. Anthony (Tony) Poleo served as director of finance and chief financial officer for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Headquartered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, DLA is responsible for providing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and other federal agencies with a variety of logistics, acquisition, and technical services.

Mr. Poleo was appointed to the U.S. AbilityOne Commission® in March 2007, representing the Department of Defense. He served as chairperson of the Commission from July 2011 to July 2015.

Mr. Poleo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business (Finance) from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) in 1984 and earned a Master of Public Financial Management degree from American University in 1989. He holds certifications in Defense Financial Management and Government Financial Management and has also completed the Program for Senior Executive Fellows at Harvard University and the Leadership for a Democratic Society program at the Federal Executive Institute.
