Leslie Pine, CPA, Treasurer

Leslie Pine, CPA, an assurance partner in the McLean, Virginia office of BDO USA, LLP (BDO), has over 30 years of experience providing audit and consulting services to various nonprofit and for profit organizations.

As a partner in BDO’s Assurance group, Ms. Pine spends the majority of her time managing assurance audits for nonprofit organizations and government contractors. Her experience includes nonprofit audits under Uniform Guidance and working on implementation of new accounting standards, such as ASC 606, ASU 2018-08 and ASU 2016-14. In addition, she performs special projects and due diligence reviews for both acquired and acquiring clients as well as various types of consulting for government contractors and nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Pine’s areas of knowledge include governmental cost principles, revenue recognition, analyzing internal control policies, net assets testing and related disclosures, alternative investment testing and related disclosures, indirect rate structures, disclosure statements, and compliance audits for nonprofit organizations. She interfaces regularly with audit committees and provides technical support on auditing and accounting issues for those clients.

Ms. Pine is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Virginia, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is Yellow Book Certified. She holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
