Matt Wieseler is vice president, Strategy and Compliance at National Industries for the Blind (NIB), where he leads a team responsible for providing regulatory technical assistance to NIB’s network of associated nonprofit agencies, regulatory data reporting, enterprise risk management, corporate compliance, and quality management. Mr. Wieseler also leads the Program Management Office for NIB’s Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. AbilityOne Commission®, oversees NIB’s grant programs, and supports the NIB Board of Directors’ strategic planning efforts.
Since joining NIB as Strategic Programs Manager in 2009, Mr. Wieseler has been integral in the creation of multiple initiatives to increase the opportunities for economic and personal independence for people who are blind. Prior to joining NIB, Mr. Wieseler’s career included strategic consulting, brand marketing, and market intelligence and research roles for large U.S. consulting and technology corporations.
Mr. Wieseler earned his Master of Business Administration from the UNC Kenan–Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Wieseler also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of South Dakota and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. Mr. Wieseler currently serves on the advisory council for the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Employment for Individuals with Blindness or Other Visual Impairments at Mississippi State University’s National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision.
