Michael Volkov is CEO and owner of The Volkov Law Group, LLC, a firm specializing in compliance, internal investigations, and white-collar defense. A former federal prosecutor and veteran white collar defense attorney with over 40 years of experience in practicing law, Mr. Volkov has expertise in areas of compliance, internal investigations, and enforcement matters. 

Prior to founding his firm, he spent 17 years as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he had over 75 jury trials and extensive federal court experience. Mr. Volkov also served on the Senate and House Judiciary committees as the chief crime and terrorism counsel; as a deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legislative Affairs of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ); and as a trial attorney in the DOJ’s Antitrust Division. 

Mr. Volkov earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School of Business, and a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center.
